I just wanted to share two more "love's of my life". They are my precious nieces Addie Lane and Kate. Addie is the oldest and she acts as if she is 30. She talks non stop and keeps us laughing. Kate does not have time to talk because Addie does it for her. However if you sing the song "If you love your aunt Kristen say Amen" she will, without looking up or stopping what she is doing, say "Amen"! They call me KK for Krazy Kristen and I love it!

Mouth Full of Jellybeans Picture

Easter Pictures

We had a great Easter Sunday! Kingsley was really not too intersted in hunting eggs. His great grandmother had 20 eggs hidden with $1 bills in each. He would open them and then throw the money on the ground. Never fear! I was right behind him like a vacumn. My mom, Nana, had jelly beans in her eggs and at one point I told Kingsley to spit whatever was in mouth into the palm of my hand. There were atleast 20 spit covered jellybeans in my hand. I would say the highlights of my day were the WONDERFUL church service, being with my family, and the easter egg shaped cake from Rolen's Bakery. I ate WAY too much icing!

Easter Thoughts

You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~William D. Tammeus

Easter has become my favorite holiday over the past few years. I see it in a different perspective. I can't help but to think of Mary and how she had to watch as her son, her child, hung on a cross and suffered a cruel, cruel death for my sins. I cannot imagine the pain that she suffered. I imagine that she found it hard to even breathe.........
A preacher told a story a few weeks ago of how his daughter was scratched right below the eye by a dog when she was 3. As he stood there, weak in the knees, watching the doctor's wrap his 3 year old daughter tightly in a sheet, so that she would not fight them as the needle went towards her eye, all he could do was look her in the eyes, as her father, and say "Trust Me". I think that this was the case for Jesus and Mary. Jesus was hanging on a cross, Mary was helpless and they were both tightly wrapped, bound by this situation but listening to God as he said, "Trust me". God is so faithful if we will just trust him. Too many times we try to take things into our own hands and do things our way (my way is usually the wrong way) Jesus could have called 10,000 angels, but he chose God's way and God's way is Perfect! What an example, what a love, what a mighty God!
Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for my sins and saving my soul.
He is not here.....He Has Risen!!!!!

Thursday Thought.........

I saw this quote in a devotional, it is so true..........

"Unforgiveness is like injecting yourself with poison and hoping the other person will get sick"

Just a little something to ponder!

Shot Out to My Boo!

Brannon and I were lying in bed last night after putting K to bed. Let me preface the conversation by saying that Brannon wanted to rock K to sleep but he only wanted me. So, I had just crawled into bed and Brannon said, "Why does he love you more? I am the one who plays with him the most". My response was, "Well, I have always had a way with the boys" (kidding of course, I actually hated the process of flirting and dating). I reminded him of what a wonderful catch he had gotten in me. He proceeded to tell me that he sometimes wanted to throw me back. I told him, oh, I will dive back into that sea at anytime. He then responded "Biscuit (short for seabiscuit) you are not the wiggler that you used to be.

I laughed really hard and then later thought. I know that he was only kidding but, he is right. I am not the same wiggler that he married and thank goodness. I am so thankful to have a husband who a) is so helpful with the toddler and b) who loves me through the good, the bad, the thick, the thin (literally, I am a fluctuator) and is willing to not only go with me but grow with me through life. God has blessed me with christian man who longs to know God more intimately just as I do. I am thankful! He also keeps me constantly laughing even if most of the jokes are at my expense! Thank you God for Brannon!
