I could not find Karas' toboggan so this is what happened. People were taking pictures but she did not care!

Random 2

Do Not Fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

I am sure that I have heard and read this verse before but I read it lately and it really stood out to me. I love it and it is currently my favorite verse. That's it.

Random 3

The other day I was subbing in a Kindergarten classroom and I told a student to take a paper home and have mommy read over it with him. He told me that he did not have a mommy. Divorce is so prevalent these days, so I just assumed that he lived with Daddy. WRONG! I asked him where mommy was and he replied "Heaven". I said, "you know what? My daddy lives there to. They probably know each other, you think?" He said with a little smile, "yeah, probably" and laid down on his nap mat. I fought back tears with all that I had and even shed some because the room was dark for naptime. He didn't though. He was fine with it. He handled the conversation much better than I did. I realized at that moment that I felt 5 years old. I felt like me and this precious little boy had a deep connection. I was 25 when my dad died but I literally felt 5 years old. I don't think it is easy at any age but his "Childlike" faith has stayed in my mind. Jesus tells us to have childlike faith and this little boy was a testimony to that for me. He knew that mommy was in heaven with Jesus. He trusted that, He believed that, and He took his nap.

Random 4

Things the Kingster is saying these days:
"Mommy, I need a pop tart please"....."Mommy, You Understand Me?"

"Mommy, You are a big girl, do not be Ugy (ugly) to Daddy!"

His Prayers (precious) He ends them with "Good Night Jesus"

Before bed "Mommy, I need to brush my teeth and put on my oderant (deoderant)" (then I have to ooh and ahh over his clean teeth and fresh underarms.

"Wait.....Wait......Just wait a minute" (with both hands up) (usually when I am telling him to do something)

"Kingsley how was your day at school?".............."Don't talk mommy" (I guess he is tired?)

We were at the beach last weekend and I had a bag that I was putting shells in. Apparently the seagulls thought that it was food because 100 of them suddenly appeared over mine and King's head. I threw the bag and started running. King was behind me screaming "Mommy wait" "Mommy wait.... I love you". I guess that he was reminding me so that I wouldn't leave him behind. Too funny!

The End

My Precious Pumpkins!

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5400453272442613970" style="FLOAT: left;

Everytime I see a rainbow, I think of God's Promises. He promised Noah and us, that he would never flood the earth again. I think of this but I also think of all of his promises to us. I love rainbows.

I do not really like to fly. Once, I had to fly by myself to Cincinnati and I was literally in full panic mode on the plane. I was praying for God to protect me and to mainly take away the fear that had overtaken my body. I looked out of the window and we were flying over a rainbow. I was amazed. I knew that this was him saying "HERE'S YOUR PROMISE". The bible is full of God's promises to us and the awesome thing is, he does not break his promises! People will break promises, even if unintentional, but God never will. He never fails. I have been so "full" lately. By full I mean, full of joy and feeling so overwhelmed by the blessings God has given me. I have two healthy children, thank you God, I have a husband who loves me (even though he is at the moment fussing because he has to constantly pick up after me), thank you God, I will FINALLY graduate with my master's degree after 5 years, I am just happy and extremely aware that GOD IS GOOD! I catch myself thinking "things are just too good, when is the valley coming?" These thoughts were running through my mind as we were on the way home and I saw a beautiful rainbow . The husband and I were amazed at how clear it was and we could see the entire rainbow. I just knew that God was reminding me of these promises. A few minutes later, I got out of the car to take a picture and noticed that there were 2 rainbows (look closely at the picture). I said to myself "Ok God, I hear you".

One of the promises that we talked about today in Sunday School was the promise of the Holy Spirit. I wrote the first part of this post yesterday, studied this lesson today in Sunday School, and then watched the end of Armageddon tonight and had a come apart as I was overwhelmed with how much I miss my dad and how next Sunday will be 5 years since he has been gone (note to self......no more Armegeddon) I am clinging to the promise of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16- 26) Where Jesus tells us that though he will be crucified and in heaven with the Father, he will "pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"..."I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you"...."Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".

Thank you God for your comfort and peace. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that fills me and calms my fears and anxieties. I love you, I praise you, and I am thankful God that you love me. Thank you for your PROMISES!

Some pictures and the word

14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." He believes that the United States is not mentioned in the bible. He believes that America is in trouble. Now, I have not taken the time to really research this and form my own opinion but it I truly respect and trust my pastor. He is obviously so deeply burdened by the direction that America is headed. I know that God is totally in control of our future and I know that God is a loving God but even God has his limits. Americans have turned thier back on God, so why do we expect him to continue and bless us. I don't know what the future holds but I know that God holds our future and that in order for things to change we must cry out to him. We, as a nation, must repent and ask for his forgiveness. It is a known fact that people turn to God when there is a big tragedy (ex: 9/11) but then turn away when things level out. What is it going to take to truly make America turn to God and stay there? It is serious to me because I have two precious children that will grow up in the great country and I don't want God to give up on us. Christians must quit tip toeing around unbelievers and being scared of offending them. I am offended that they have turned thier back on God and are just living the life that they want to live. Everyone complains about the economy and so on but sit back and think a minute......we have done this to ourselves. He has blessed us with too much for us to just think that we don't need him. The bible completely tells us how to live a good life but we seem to ignore and go against everything in it. So, I will pray for America and its future, I will ask that you do the same, and I will pray that God will not turn his back on us as we have turned our back on him. This is not a fun subject for it is a subject that needs to be addressed. Please pray for our country, the country that our children will grow up in.

Just a Swingin'

This is how we sometimes like to watch t.v.

Headed to church! K loves his new little sister. Sometimes he loves her too much and is a little rough but that is better than he not liking her, I guess! I have already begun praying that these two will love one another as my brother and I do. Two is certainly a new challenge but we are making it. We are still waiting for things to run smoothly................still waiting. We are are so blessed to have 2 healthy babies! I am so thankful. I am also thankful for a husband who does so much to help.

I am also thankful for a mother who looked at me this week and decided that I was a mess and provided me with a chiropractic visit (where things were popped back into place) a massage and a carwash. She knows that I would never do these things for myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the massage but did not realize that a massage would leave me feeling so sore. I guess I should have spoken up when the girl told me to tell her if she was too forceful. Oh, well, it was still a wonderful, peaceful experience. Thanks mom!

A gift from God

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/SW6ZiFy4NGI/AAAAAAAAANk/PpoxG0uy03Q/s400/King+and+Karas+1+033.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5291335423157089378" />
"charis"-It is the Greek word for grace. One of the meanings of the word is a gift that brought pleasure to another. It can also refer to the thankfulness felt for a gift or favor. The most significant way we use the word is in speaking of God's salvation. We are saved by grace...GRACE-God's Riches At Christ's Expense.

Peace on Earth

I recently read an email that talked about some sort of yellow shirt and a mother and daughter passing it between them and in the end it talked about how the daughter realized what her mother had given her after her death. I can't remember it word for word and have deleted it into internet space but I remember the jest of it.

It talked about the peace that the daughter was left with after her mother died because she knew that she was in heaven and that she would see her again. I have experienced this peace. I believe that the best gift that my dad could have given me, he did. He left me with the peace of knowing that his heart belonged to Jesus Christ and that he would live eternally with him. He left me with the peace that I would one day see him again. He left me with a peace, which I often cling to in times of sadness, that although he did not get to experience my children here on this earth that he will one day meet them. I truly believe that he already knows them. Thank you Jesus for offering you perfect peace to us in so many ways!

This is what "Peace on the Earth" meant to me this year. Because my heavenly father sent his son to die on a cruel cross for me I will see my earthly father again. I have a peace on this earth!

Been Farmin' Long?

Christmas day was spent in shorts and short sleeves and K did some farming!
It was a Very Merry Christmas!
<img style="float:left; I am not saying that this body make over is going to be immediate or not take hard work, but the Britster has inspired me! She had two kids and was looking a mess and has come back. I will come back too people. I am already visualizing the come back in my head! I have become a fan of hers. I did not like her much pre-break-down but I am really pulling for her. I mean, I would be crazy too if 200 people were constantly chasing after me. I get annoyed if just one person stares for a second too long. As a dancer (in my heart anyway) I can relate to her. She is just trying to live the dream people and she is looking darn good doing it! You go Britney!

For now I am going to eat the last Christmas Tree cake that my husband so lovingly suprised me with from the grocery store!

Ouch!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/SSQt8rhf3sI/AAAAAAAAAJA/i0z8A9jiqHs/s320/Fight+with+a+mosquito.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5270387984428949186" />

It seems that the Kingster got into a fight with a mosquito and lost! He woke up and his eye was swollen and almost completely shut. The picture was taken after it had gone down a little. He woke up and walked into the kitchen chatting it up. I don't even think he realized that it was swollen at first. It was funny!

It was however, not funny to his daddy and nana. Daddy vowed to never spank him again because of his pitiful look and Nana offered to buy him a truck if it would make him feel better. WIMPS! We went to the doctor to reassure daddy that he had not been attacked by a brown recluse. Just a mosquito. The child has manners. He ate A Lot of candy at his Nana's and I am pretty sure that it later turned into crack because he turned into a candy crazed wild man and would not go to sleep. He rode the pony all by himself, mainly because the little lady in the background told me that I could not walk with him. She then told him to sit up straight (and he listened to her) which was funny to me. As parents, and a grandparent, we were of course acting a fool and waving each time that he circled around and he would raise his eyebrows and give us an excited look. I think he did it just to make us happy. There was also a petting zoo. The animals were just roaming free, which made me nervous ( I think pregnancy makes me jittery anyway and the fact that my Paw Paw made me believe that all animals in the horse like family kick you when you walk behind them) So, I was watching K play around the animals and walk behind them and was caught by surprise when another toddler ran and latched on to my leg. I almost had a heart attack because I thought that a rabid animal had attacked me. He also love the jumpy things.

Some of you will appreciate the picture of me below........................

And lastly this is random story that happened to the husband at the local Auto Zone a while back and it makes me laugh!

The cause............pregnancy. I truly have good intentions of getting up and "fixing" myself up before work but I am failing miserably. I once swore that I would never, ever wear a moo moo during pregnancy but now I would pay good money for one. Actually I would not pay good money. That is half of the problem, I don't want to spend a lot of money on maternity clothes so I am throwing together what has been handed down and what is comfortable. I look a mess really. Today, I have on a long blue jean skirt (which I would never wear unpregnatized) some flat shoes with ribbons (which I would never wear unpregnatized) and a faded black shirt (which has made been passed through and worn by atleast 3 pregnant women) I attempted to do my make up but it just did not apply well. My hair is not too horrible but it still has some body to it due to sleeping on it. It should be flat by 11:00. I lay in the bed in the morning and debate with myself about getting up. The husband keeps waiting for me to go to work in my pajamas. You can get away with a lot being pregnant but I don't think that pajamas would pass. It is pitiful! I am just too tired to get all of this moving. Plus, K has started coming and getting in bed with me early in the morning and he is just too precious to leave. He wraps his arms around my neck and breathes his little stinky breath in my face. It is just too precious to leave. I lay there and bargain........5 more minutes if I do my make-up in the car...........15 more minutes if I don't wash my hair..............5 more minutes if I lay here and visualize what I am going to put on instead of getting up to look in the closet...........it is sad really! Oh well, hopefully I will not "let myself go" forever.

On second thought, Maybe if I continue to dress in this fashionless manner someone will turn me in to "What not to wear" and I can go to New York and be given a $5,000 shopping spree. That would ROCK!

Warning: A touch depressing

Saturday will be 4 years since dad has died. I am pretty sure that this has been the toughest "anniversary yet". Pregnancy and hormones probably have a lot to do with it. I have just gotten off the phone with the phone nurse describing to her my "panic attack" symptoms. You have heard people say that they find it "hard to breathe", well I can relate. I have felt this way many times before. I found it hard to breathe the day he died. I sometimes find it hard to breathe when missing him overwhelms me and I am finding it hard to breathe tonight. It is in these times that I am humbled and have to say to God, you are going to have to breathe for me, I just can't do it right now..................and he does. It is wierd, it is like all of the emotions build up and take over your body. I have rationed all week that he would not want to come back to this life....that no matter how much I wish he were here to see my children, he sees them and the joy that he is experiencing being with Jesus is greater than even grandchildren can provide. I also know that he will see them one day. I am however in a selfish mood and want him here tonight. I want to hold his soft hand, I want to lay beside him in the crack between the regular bed and his hospital bed the way I used to, I want to hear him tell me that I am probably gaining too much weight, I want him to wake me up 10 times during the night to ask me to change the channel, I want to tell him that I love him, I want to see him in full camoflauge attire because the weather has a little coolness in it, I want to hear him sing, I want to hear him laugh, I want to be embarrassed at how loud he yells at football games, I want to dance with him, I want to ask him how he suffered a terrible illness and never complained, I want to tell him that I miss him.........oh how I miss him..................I realize that this is a terribly depressing post but.................................I can breath now.

This is a picture of K (in the white shirt) tackling and I do mean tackling, a group of 8 and 9 year old boys. These boys were playing football behind the bleachers at a local high school football game and K decided that he wanted the ball. The boys were piled up so he decided that he needed to be a part. This little act made his daddy (who took the picture) swell with pride. He then proceeded to get under the bleachers. I heard a young girl (around 11 or 12) say to her friend, "That little boy just grabbed my butt". Again, daddy swelled with pride. I love that K is 100% boy. I love that he is rough, and tough. Zig Ziglar says not to call them terrible. The other day he was just ill. He had been tossed around all day from place to place with short, scattered naps. This tiredness led to many a dramatic fit. He could not be satisfied. He threw several fits on the floor, in the bathtub, and even a fit involving a poopy diaper. Poop was everywhere! I finally wrestled him to the rocking chair, with shampoo still in his hair, and he gave up the fight. He went from a two year old monster to a precious little angel in a matter of minutes. I sat there rocking and thinking how much I loved him even though he had momentarily lost his mind.

I then began thinking how God was using this very moment to give me a picture of myself and him. How many times I have done the wrong thing, been rebellious, and acted just plain terrible. During these times I have felt him wrestle with me, discipline me, and most of all.....love me. I can picture him looking down at me when I am asleep (with my mouth wide open) and thinking "Isn't she the sweetest thing you have ever seen, I love her so much." I love it when God shows me through my child how he loves me as his child.

Cardboard Testimonies

I actually saw the video below on another blog...........It was worth copying!

Click on Link to watch video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvDDc5RB6FQ

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5213237384828514178" style="FLOAT: left; We love going to the lake. K was a fish in the water and did not want to get out! He enjoyed playing with his cousins and also enjoyed some watermelon. I am not too sure how sanitary the watermelon was mixed with the lake water. I like to think that these types of things give him the immune system of a horse. It makes me feel better about my parenting skills atleast. I guess it is better than the time that we found Addie eating watermelon at the lake and later realized that no one with us had watermelon. Yep, I think that she found it floating.............this same day we were throwing bread to the ducks in the water and she was swimming out, getting the bread, and feeding herself with it. Good Times!

Beach Fun!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/SCyaml2jjPI/AAAAAAAAAFA/u_aMseVopkw/s320/NANA.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200701657492720882" />
We had a great weekend at the beach this past weekend! We had a great time at the March of Dimes Walk. As you can see in the pictures, K milked his cuteness and was quite the ladies man as he coaxed some girls to help him on a slide that he was too little for. He laid down in sorrow because he could not get up the wall. The girls, noticing this, made it their mission to get him up and over. He also flirted his way into lots of free stuff which is pictured. Next, we went home to practice our swimming! Sunday, after our eventful Saturday, we woke up with an awful rash. I used this as a life lesson for K. We had a sit down and I said "K, this is just what happens, too much fun on Saturday night will leave you with consequences on Sunday". I don't think that he understood it all but it doesn't hurt to start early!

Homesick at Home

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/SAzRWaCqULI/AAAAAAAAAD4/SJCgOmmthPM/s320/CAM+AND+KING.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5191754653329150130" />
I thought that I would share something that I read in my Bible Study called "Heaven"......... Do you recall a time when you were away from your earthly home and desperately missed it? Do you remember how your heart ached for home? That's how we should feel about Heaven. We are a displaced people, longing for our home. C.S. Lewis said, "If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explantion is that I was made for another world."
Nothing is more often midsdiagnosed than our homesickness for Heaven. We think that what we want is sex, drugs, alcohol, a new job, a raise, a spouse, a new car, or a cabin in the woods. What we really want is the person we were made for -Jesus- and the place we were made for - Heaven. Nothing less can satisfy. Randy Alcorn

This is so interesting and so true! I am very blessed and very happy with my life but no matter how good things are going there is always something missing. Something that I could not figure out. I agree with C.S. Lewis, it is because we are not truly made for this world. Interesting!

I've Been Tagged

Lindsey tagged me! I love to listen to geniune people with great biblical knowledege speak and teach.
6. I miss my dad every minute of every day.
7. I HAVE to get things waxed but it makes me really mad at the person doing it and I often have to talk myself down from punching the waxer. It is just thier job.
15. I can not stand to rub my hands together. Example, rubbing lotion on my hands. I have to do it really fast. It makes me naseous for the ridges in my hands or feet to touch. The same with shampoo, I put my hands together but do not rub them............Oh gross.....I am sick thinking about it..........gotta go!

A Sprinkle a Day, Keeps the Worry Away

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/R_zJ1BanDdI/AAAAAAAAADw/QYkDu2eZ_2c/s320/sprinkler+cropped.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187242783574265298" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/R_zHmxanDaI/AAAAAAAAADY/biB_6cGt304/s320/Sprinkler+and+froot+loops.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187240339737873826" />

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

Lately I have been letting anxiety and worry take over. My husband has even said, "This is not like you to worry". He is right. I am the one who usually chooses not to worry about anything, even when I sometimes should. I am also the one who tells others not to worry. However, worry has crept into my life lately. So, this morning I had a little talk with God he reminded me that a lot of things that I am worrying or anxious about are a result of my own decisions. Decisions made in a time in my life when I was not doing much consulting with him. God's plan is perfect but I lived a while on my on plan...........consequences. I knew in the back of my mind that the bible contains everything that you need know about living this life but I am see its truth more and more lately. We are saved by grace but God gave us the law to guide us and help us to live more fullfilling lives not to load us down with rules and regulations. I trust him. I am seeking his way and trusting him with the faith of a child. Which leads me to another thought......

15 "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it at all." Mark 10:15

We are God's children and he loves us as his own. Why do we try to make things so complicated? The bible is God's instruction book to us and I see and realize more and more each day how following what is in it makes things better. I am blessed to be able to see childlike faith everyday in Kingsley. He trusts that I will take care of him, comfort him, provide for him, and catch him when he randomly decides to dive off of the couch.........if I miss, see comfort again! God loves us just like that. When Kingsley falls he immediatly runs to me to hold him, just as we should run to God when we fall, because we will fall and we will make mistakes. He is our great Comforter and our greatest fan. God just wants us to come to him as a child, his child, and trust and believe in him. Thank you God for the example you have shown me in Kingsley.

I think I will go and join K under the sprinkler and let the worries wash away!

Congratulations Keesha!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/R_pNUhanDZI/AAAAAAAAADQ/NzTXSJx-hVg/s320/Bach.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5186542935833251218" />
This is a picture of "the girls" at Keesha's Bachelorette Party! Kingsley was really not too intersted in hunting eggs. His great grandmother had 20 eggs hidden with $1 bills in each. He would open them and then throw the money on the ground. Never fear! I was right behind him like a vacumn. My mom, Nana, had jelly beans in her eggs and at one point I told Kingsley to spit whatever was in mouth into the palm of my hand. There were atleast 20 spit covered jellybeans in my hand. I would say the highlights of my day were the WONDERFUL church service, being with my family, and the easter egg shaped cake from Rolen's Bakery. I ate WAY too much icing!

Easter Thoughts

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/R-EUNzSpWkI/AAAAAAAAABQ/VoxartV8QcA/s320/Peek-A-Boo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179443273792051778" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/R-EUOzSpWlI/AAAAAAAAABY/qFZlgfLo2ew/s320/Climbing+up.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179443290971920978" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/R-EUPTSpWmI/AAAAAAAAABg/RjTRv4Z3M7g/s320/M%26K+in+the+Grass.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179443299561855586" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_pO8Np6XdiDk/R-EUQDSpWnI/AAAAAAAAABo/cmbb6A5rj6U/s320/In+the+grass.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179443312446757490" />

You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~William D. Tammeus

Easter has become my favorite holiday over the past few years. I see it in a different perspective. I can't help but to think of Mary and how she had to watch as her son, her child, hung on a cross and suffered a cruel,cruel death for my sins. I cannot imagine the pain that she suffered. I imagine that she found it hard to even breathe.........
A preacher told a story a few weeks ago of how his daughter was scratched right below the eye by a dog when she was 3. As he stood there, weak in the knees, watching the doctor's wrap his 3 year old daughter tightly in a sheet, so that she would not fight them as the needle went towards her eye, all he could do was look her in the eyes, as her father, and say "Trust Me". I think that this was the case for Jesus and Mary. Jesus was hanging on a cross, Mary was helpless and they were both tightly wrapped, bound by this situation but listening to God as he said, "Trust me". God is so faithful if we will just trust him. Too many times we try to take things into our own hands and do things our way (my way is usually the wrong way) Jesus could have called 10,000 angels, but he chose God's way and God's way is Perfect! What an example, what a love, what a mighty God!
Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for my sins and saving my soul.
He is not here.....He Has Risen!!!!!

Thursday Thought.........

I saw this quote in a devotional, it is so true..........

"Unforgiveness is like injecting yourself with poison and hoping the other person will get sick"

Just a little something to ponder!

Shot Out to My Boo!

Brannon and I were lying in bed last night after putting K to bed. Let me preface the conversation by saying that Brannon wanted to rock K to sleep but he only wanted me. So, I had just crawled into bed and Brannon said, "Why does he love you more? I am the one who plays with him the most". My response was, "Well, I have always had a way with the boys" (kidding of course, I actually hated the process of flirting and dating). I reminded him of what a wonderful catch he had gotten in me. He proceeded to tell me that he sometimes wanted to throw me back. I told him, oh, I will dive back into that sea at anytime. He then responded "Biscuit (short for seabiscuit) you are not the wiggler that you used to be.

I laughed really hard and then later thought. I know that he was only kidding but, he is right. I am not the same wiggler that he married and thank goodness. I am so thankful to have a husband who a) is so helpful with the toddler and b) who loves me through the good, the bad, the thick, the thin (literally, I am a fluctuator) and is willing to not only go with me but grow with me through life. God has blessed me with christian man who longs to know God more intimately just as I do. I am thankful! Now, I was Rizzo in SEACT's production of Grease and felt compelled to sing. There we sat on the couch side by side and I sang "There Are Worse Things I Can Do". I sang, the entire song, as if I were performing on broadway. He continued looking straight ahead, with an occasional glance. When I was done he said calmly, "Do you think there is any other couple in America doing this exact same thing right now?" My child was not phased either. He continued playing while I filled the house with beautiful music. My precious husband has a "love nickname" for me.......Seabiscuit.......yes, as in the horse.........he says that I have big front teeth.....is that not the sweetest thing you have ever heard? I especially love when other people think it is funny and feel that they have the right to refer to me as seabiscuit. I admit, they could use a little file down. I have been thinking about filing a claim with my insurance company because tubing at the lake with big front teeth really is a health hazard.

My son serves as a daily reminder of how good God is! I love to laugh, sing, spend time with family and friends and not act my age. Life is too short to "grow up". I also enjoy a good cry, I think that it is healthy, although my husband and friends like to remind me that I am indeed THE UGLIEST crier in the world. They speak the truth! My maid of honor actually said to me, as I was preparing to walk down the aisle, "remember how ugly you are when you cry, don't cry", precious!

I am not a great housekeeper but can't stand spots on the carpet. I have very negative thoughts about "no leak" sippie cups. Yeah Right!

I am cheap and only buy things off of 75% off racks. I can swim really fast. I really don't know why or how, but I can. I think that is about it! Oh yeah, I also like to dress up in random things. I love themed parties, but mostly just random "costume" moments. Sadly, I am trying to pass this on to my child, atleast until he is old enough to make me stop (refer to picture above) Rock On!

Oops, Sorry about the life size picture!

I'm not from around these parts!

Fear Not.........................I'm Scared

What am I so afraid of? I have no idea! I really do struggle with this. After losing my dad and watching him suffer, the innocence of "it won't happen to me" has been ripped away. I now have the thought process of it can and is probably going to happen to me. I have always been a scaredy cat as in staying home by myself but this fear is deeper. It is a fear of sickness and death. I am sick of it, no pun intended. Satan loves to pounce on and capitalize on this fear and throw me into panic attacks. I am thankful for a husband who just talks me through these instead of having me committed. I have been praying about this and have come across several verses on fear. These are a few of my favorites.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints. Psalm 116:15.

I came across this verse in a bible study that I was doing and it spoke to me. Precious is not one of the words that I would have come up with when describing death; however, it is precious to God. He is welcoming home his child. He knows that there will be no more pain and sorrow for his child. They are home!

This brings me to another "lightbulb" moment that I had. I AM HIS CHILD. I had never really had one of those "God spoke to me" moments, but this was surely him. I was reading my weekly bible study, in the Dollar General parking lot waiting for them to open, and confessing to him that I struggle with and was being help captive by fear. It was like he "in a frustrated voice" said, "K, YOU ARE MY CHILD". WOW! Right there in the old DG parking lot God had spoken to me. I couldn't help but think how much I love my child and how I would never hurt him. I know that we will go through trials but God has our best interest at heart. He is perfect and his will is perfect. He loves me as his child. That is HUGE!

For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, who says to you, Fear not; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

He promises us. He is not a God who breaks promises! Once again I come to him as a child.

Wait and hope for and expect the Lord: be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. Psalm 27:14

Now this verse just makes me feel sassy! Now the next time Satan reminds me of my fears, I am just going to claim this verse and let him know that I am EXPECTING my God to show up. I will memorize this verse so that I can have my hands free to do the snap, snap, snap with the arm waving, I will then step with my right foot, pivot, and walk away!

Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; Though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me. Micah 7:8

So, that was my first Blog Entry.................................I feel good!
